Brunch at church held for Davis 50th anniversary

AUSTINTOWN -- A brunch was held Feb. 25 at Grace Lutheran Church in honor of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Davis Jr., 5085 E. Rockwell Road, who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children and their spouses, William P. and Beky Davis of Austintown and David E. and Pam Davis of Greenford, and their two grandsons, Justin and Kristopher Davis.
Married Feb. 23, 1957, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Youngstown, the couple are members of Grace Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Davis, the former Patricia Lou Schmidt, was a seamstress with Dale Cleaners prior to retiring in 1990. She is a member of the Women's Ministry and Rachel Circle at the church.
Mr. Davis served with the U.S. Navy. He retired in 1997 as project manager with Panelmatic Inc. in Youngstown and is a member of the American Legion, Thrivent Habitat, Austintown Optimist and Men of Mission at the church.
Mr. and Mrs. Davis belong to the Austintown Historical Society and the Mahoning Valley Olde Car Club.
