Brauns observe 50th anniversary at surprise dinner

BAZETTA -- Howland Community Church was the setting March 23 for a surprise dinner held in honor of Mr. and Mrs. George Braun of Bazetta, who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the festivities were the couple's children and their spouses, Steve and Jenny Braun of Mason; Mary Cay Braun and Tracy and Donald Whipple, all of Delaware, Ohio; David and Clara Braun of Howland; and Carolyn and Carmen Roberts of Niles. There are also 10 grandchildren in the family.
The former Kalina Callow and Mr. Braun were united in marriage March 30, 1957, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Warren.
Mrs. Braun worked at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Second National Bank and Ward's Costume Shop.
Mr. Braun retired after more than 40 years at Copperweld Steel Co. He also was a part-time courier at Farmer's National Bank.
