Appliance recycling event planned

YOUNGSTOWN — An appliance recycling drive will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Youngstown Iron and Metal, 3009 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Refrigerators, air conditioners, stoves, dehumidifiers, water coolers, freezers, hot water heaters, water softeners and other appliances made primarily of metal will be accepted.

Mahoning County residents or small businesses may drop off up to 10 items per day. There will be no charge for Freon removal. The drive is sponsored by the county and the city and is funded by the state.
