Schmidt jubilee is celebrated at Holiday Inn

BOARDMAN -- Mr. and Mrs. John Schmidt, 1343 Pheasant Court, were honored by friends and relatives as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a reception held March 4 at the Holiday Inn.
Invitations for the event were issued by the couple's children and their spouses, Richard and Susan Brink of Poland and Roslyn and John Schmidt of Boardman. There are also two grandchildren in the family.
Mr. Schmidt and the former Agnes Ference were united in marriage March 2, 1957, at St. Aloysious Church in East Liverpool. They are members of St. Charles Church.
Mr. Schmidt retired in 1994 from skilled trades-truck repair at General Motors in Lordstown. His wife is a homemaker.
