Lanterman 50th celebrated during reception, cruise

LEETONIA -- A reception was held Feb. 4 at Christ Church in Boardman to honor Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lanterman, 3753 state Route 164, who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts were the couple's family, Steve and Debbie Lanterman of Salem, Todd Lanterman of Columbiana, and Valerie and Dennis Sima of Austintown. The couple have three grandchildren.
Also as part of the celebration, the couple left on a Caribbean cruise on Feb. 10.
The former Janet Nichols and Mr. Lanterman were united in marriage Feb. 9, 1957, during a ceremony that took place at the First Presbyterian Church in East Palestine. They are members of Christ Church in Boardman.
Mr. Lanterman, a deacon at the church and a member of Leetonia Sportsman's Club, was a self-employed truck driver prior to retiring in 2005.
