Casales celebrate 50th anniversary at dinner party

HUBBARD -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Casale of Hubbard was celebrated March 4 during a sit-down dinner at The Gentry.
Hosts for the event were the couple's family, Marie and Jim Allen of Macedonia and Marlene and John Clemente and Michele Casale, all of Hubbard. Also participating were their five grandchildren.
The celebration will be continued during a trip the couple have planned for early spring.
St. Ann Church in Youngstown was the setting March 2, 1957, as the former Clara Valley and Mr. Casale were united in marriage. The couple are members of St. Patrick Church.
Mrs. Casale was in the food catering service for more than 40 years, and had her own catering business during the last 25 years.
Mr. Casale, a U.S. Navy veteran, served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1954. He was a supervisor at the former Powell Press Steel in Hubbard until the firm closed. Afterward, he was employed at Modern Builder in Youngstown until retiring in 1995.
