Strattons observe 50th anniversary at family dinner

POLAND -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Don Stratton, 9363 South Ave., was celebrated Feb. 23 during a private family dinner that took place at Patrick's Chop House in Lisbon.
The couple's family includes Becky and Brad Stratton-Bierdeman of New Middletown, Allen and Jodie Stratton of Boardman, and three grandchildren.
Mount Olivet United Church of Christ in North Lima, where they are members, was the setting Feb. 23, 1957, as Mr. Stratton and the former Millie Guterba were united in marriage.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Stratton was a receptionist with Trumbull Mahoning Medical Group in Austintown and was the owner of Country Village Clothing in North Lima. She is a past elder of the church and is co-chairman of Christians in Action.
Mr. Stratton served with the U.S. Army. He retired in 2000 from Foerster Systems in Salem, where he was a welder, and is a past deacon of the church.
