Motorcyclist is ‘critical’

CANFIELD — A motorcyclist was seriously injured Thursday in an accident on Bedell Road. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a motorcycle driven by Ray Best, 43, of Newton Falls left the road, hit a ditch, overturned throwing off Best just north of Leffingwell Road around 4 p.m. He was not wearing a helmet. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the wreck, the patrol said. Best was taken by helicopter to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where he was in critical condition late Thursday.
