Swanson’s homer inside the park is key hit for Action

STRUTHERS — Karl Swanson hit a two-run, inside-the-park home run and added a single to lead Action Physical Therapy to a 8-2 win over the Youngstown Express in a Class B League game Monday night.
Kent Denbow went five innings for the win, while Jarryd Summers and Sean Haywood added two hits each for Action (9-14).
Adam Collier had three hits for Express (2-21).
Class AA
YOUNGSTOWN — Roth Brothers scored all its runs in the first three innings as it posted an 11-5 victory over Youngstown Metros Monday in Youngstown Class AA League at Pemberton Park.
It took unbeaten Roth Brothers (16-0) 10 innings to edge Tamburro’s 5-4 in another contest.
Josh Conkey (4-0) scattered seven hits with seven strikeouts to pick up the win for Roth Brothers in the first game.
Mike Sikorski hit a home run, double and drove in four runs to spark Roth Brothers. Mike Nightingale hit a triple, single and drove in three runs. Adam Cox hit a double and two singles. George Rohan, Shane Davis and Eric Jones each hit two singles.
Cameron Cimino and Anthony Porter hit two singles apiece for the Metros.
Roth Brothers scored the winning run in the 10th inning against Tamburro’s as Sikorski, who hit two triples and a single, scored on Josh Conkey’s sacrifice fly.
Adam Cox hit two doubles, while Joe Marzano hit a double and single for Roth Brothers. Rick Gozur hit three singles and drove in three runs.
Rob Tamburro, John Krivoniak, Josh Savage and Ray Jaminet each had two hits for Tamburro’s.
Warren AA

Kent Denbow pitched five solid innings to pick up the win. Jarry Summers and Sean Haywood each had two hits for Action (9-14). Adam Collier had three hits for the Express (2-21).
Girard Hardware 4, Reds 2
Kevin Nastase scattered four hits and struck out three through 41⁄3 innings to pick up the win. Josh Camuso pitched three-hit shutout ball through two and a third innings to record a save.
Mark Brown and Camuso hit two singles apiece for Girard. Mike Johnson hit a triple and two singles for Reds.
Mahoning Valley Knights 13,
PI&I Express 0
Mahoning Valley Knights collected 15 hits, scored five runs in the third inning and six more in the fourth in cruising to victory in a five-inning contest.
Carmen DeChristafaro allowed only three hits in picking up the win. Brett Dutton paced the Knights with three singles. Brian Daughtery, Manoli Pahoulis, Greg Barton, Steve Voxler and Andy Todor added two hits apiece.
