Police seek help to find rapist

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police are seeking help in finding a rapist who has attacked two women in the last month.

Police said the most recent attack occurred Sunday when a 24-year-old woman was walking home from South New Castle borough around 11 p.m. A man driving a brown pickup truck with no truck cap and yellow lights mounted on the roof offered her a ride.

Police said he drove the woman to Tony Ditko Road in Wayne Township where he raped her and threw her out of the truck. The woman found help at a nearby house and was treated at Jameson Memorial Hospital.

Police said a 40-year-old woman reported a similar attack on Pa. Route 208 in Wayne Township on June 7.

State police said both women described their attacker as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s, 5 foot, 8 inches tall of average weight. Police said he has a muscular build, blue eyes, short brown hair and was wearing prescription eye glasses. He was dressed in a flannel shirt, blue jeans and tan work boots.
