East Side drive-by claims life of 27-year-old man

YOUNGSTOWN — The man shot to death outside an apartment at 1467 Woodcrest Ave. on the East Side around 10 p.m. Tuesday has been identified as Terrance E. Brown, 27, of South Truesdale Avenue.

Witnesses told police that the gunfire came from a white SUV with four occupants. Two spent shotgun shells were found in the street, police said. Brown is the city’s 15th homicide of the year, compared to 12 at this time last year.
