YOUNGSTOWN — A golf outing has been planned by Highway Tabernacle, 300 S. Raccoon Road, as a benefit for the Nehemiah Project and its efforts to help the people in Sierra Leone, West Africa.
The outing will take place July 7 at the Flying “B” Golf Course, 13223 W. Middletown Road in Goshen Township, where play will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.
The format for the event will be a four-person scramble, and the cost for participation will be $60 per golfer or $240 for a team.
Included in the entry fee will be 18 holes of golf, a cart, prizes, food, beverage and dinner afterward at the course. There will be six skill prizes, including a $5,000 hole-in-one prize.
Golfers have until July 3 to register for the event. To sign up, for more information or to become a sponsor, call (330) 792-3000.
The outing is the third fundraiser held by the church for the Nehemiah Project, which was formed to help rebuild churches destroyed during a ten-year civil war in West Africa and to provide medical assistance for the people.
