Ellwood City arts/crafts festival to kick off


ELLWOOD CITY, Pa. — The 27th annual Ellwood City Arts, Crafts and Food Festival will be held Friday through July 1 in Ewing Park.

This year’s crafts will include lapidary work, herbal crafts, wood carving, photographs, wood crafts, feather art, candle makers, handmade spoon jewelry, clay figurines, leather goods, oil paintings and glass creations.

The three-day event will include a juried art show with all types of media. A 10 kilometer race will be Saturday and a community church service on July 1.

A giant fireworks display is set for 10:15 p.m. July 1, sponsored by National City Bank.

Featured entertainment this year is the B.E. Taylor Band on Friday evening, sponsored by ESB Bank. Other entertainers include the Pittsburgh Banjo Club and Trinity Jazz Orchestra.
