Niles couple charged after drug raid

NILES — Police have charged a West Park Avenue couple with drug offenses and their children have been taken from them.

Marvin C. McCauley Jr., 35, of 330 W. Park Ave., and his wife, Michelle L. McCauley, 32, were both charged Wednesday with possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and child endangering after a search warrant at their home uncovered marijuana, pills, money and scales.

Police Chief Bruce Simeone said he didn’t know how many children were involved, but they were turned over to a relative by Trumbull County Children Services.

The raid capped a two month investigation by city police and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation. Police received complaints from neighbors about suspected drug activity.
