Joint venture

Talks among Forum Health, Humility of Mary Health Partners and Akron Children’s Hospital about a joint venture pediatric hospital have broken down.

The three-hospital proposal was announced Jan. 31, 2007.

It was approved by the boards of trustees of the three participants.

HMHP and Akron Children’s said Tuesday the parties were unable to finalize the process.

Forum, which is closing its emergency department at Tod Children’s Hospital on June 30, said it regrets that the talks did not
succeed.
