Event to raise funds for clean water

YOUNGSTOWN — Social Action Republica, a social outreach arm of Youngstown Metro Church, will sponsor a 10-mile run/5-mile walk July 21 to raise awareness and funding for clean water in Africa.

Registration will be at 8 a.m. at the BW3 parking lot in Federal Plaza, and the run will begin at 9. The cost is $15 per runner/walker. Those registering before July 7 will receive a T-shirt. Businesses donating money or items exceeding a $50 value will have their name on the T-shirts. The deadline for sponsors is July 1.
