TOD CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

Time line

Construction on Tod Babies’ and Children’s Hospital, predecessor to Tod Children’s Hospital, began in 1971 under the auspices of the Youngstown Hospital Association.

The hospital opened in March 1972.

The first patient was admitted April 4, 1972. The last patient was admitted April 25, 2007.

Tod Parent House at 2450 Goleta Ave. opened in September 1983. It became Ronald McDonald House in 1986.

In 2006, Forum Health moved Tod Children’s into the Northside Medical Center, saying the move would save $4 million a year.
