Warrant issued in child kidnapping

WARREN – Police have obtained a warrant charging a 19-year-old Warren man with kidnapping in the weekend abduction of a 3-year-old boy.

The warrant was obtained for Marcus A. Chaney, of North Leavitt Road. Police are also seeking a 17-year-old male. Both are the toddler’s uncles.

David Williamson of Transylvania Avenue Southeast   told police that his son, Davyon,ok was kidnapped at gunpoint by two men and a woman while he was visiting on Feederle Drive about 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Police stopped the car the woman was driving at Tod Avenue and Fifth Street, and Chaney and the juvenile fled on foot. Davyon was returned to his father.

The woman was not charged because she cooperated with police.
