Fate of building under debate

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — New Castle Area School Board   scheduled a special meeting for 4 p.m. Tuesday to discuss the fate of the Ben Franklin Junior High School building,   now   vacant. School officials have discussed several options since closing the school two years ago and combining the senior and junior high schools into one new facility.

The possibilities for the Ben Franklin site have included selling it, razing the building or consolidating the elementary classes there. The meeting will be held in the board room of the Croton Administration Building at 420 Fern St.
