Suburban Pittsburgh man charged in baby's death

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A man was accused of killing his girlfriend’s 13-month-old baby. Ryan Bennett, 20, of Versailles, was charged Thursday with homicide and endangering the welfare of children.

White Oak police responding to a call Wednesday night said they found Tymere Poth unresponsive. She died of injuries to the trunk and was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said. Bennett was being held in the Allegheny County Jail. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.
