Boy cited for curfew violation and BB hoop confiscated

YOUNGSTOWN — A portable basketball hoop positioned on the grass devil strip in the 1200 block of Kensington Avenue was taken by police just before 4 a.m. today and a 15-year-old boy who claimed ownership of the hoop was cited for curfew violation and basketball equipment on streets.

The boy, who lives on Kensington, told police that the hoop could stay because it was on the grass. He was released to adults at his residence. The hoop was taken to the police garage.
