Baby reportedly burned in bath

WARREN – Trumbull County Children Services is looking into the circumstances surrounding the burning of an 11-month-old child in a bathtub.

The infant, Dakota Wilson, remains in fair condition in Akron’s Children’s Hospital, where he is being treated for second-degree burns of the left leg and buttocks.

Police reported being sent to an Ogden Avenue residence about 9 p.m. Monday. The child’s mother, Dorothy Tomlin, told them she put the child in care of her niece and left. When she returned, she found Dakota had been burned by hot bath water and she sought immediate medical care. He was taken to Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital for initial treatment before going to the Akron facility.
