BOOK SALES

Friends of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County is conducting a book sale Aug. 18-25 at its store, located on the lower level of the Poland Library. Everything except gifts and new books will be marked 50 percent off the regular price. Proceeds benefit all public libraries in the county.

Friends of the Warren Library will have a book sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the main library, 444 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren. For more information, call (330) 399-8807 Ext. 128.

SALES

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, will have a “No Trash, Just Treasure” sale from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, with a dollar bag sale starting at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Galilee Apostolic Church, 4009 Elmwood, Austintown, will hold a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 505 Parkcliffe Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a gigantic multifamily yard sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at 2459 Fifth Ave., Liberty. The event will feature gently worn school clothing, household furnishings, toys and hot food items. Vendors are also welcome to participate. North Jackson Citizens Association will hold a community-wide yard sale beginning at 9 a.m. Friday and Saturday, featuring more than 100 yard sales. Maps to the sales will be available at local businesses and at 11349 Mahoning Ave.

Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, will hold a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday with a bag sale from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. Refreshments and baked goods will be sold.
