Golf outing helps scholarship fund

LAKE MILTON — Lakeside Golf Course, 2404 S. East River Road, has been chosen as the site for the Buz Open, the first annual Ron James Jr. Memorial Golf Outing, to be held Aug. 12.

The cost to participate is $75 per golfer or $300 per team, and proceeds will provide scholarships for Jackson-Milton High School students who excel in academics and athletics.

The format will be a four-person scramble that will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start and will include 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch, steak dinner, beverages and prizes. Dinners will be available for $25 at 4 p.m. for nongolfers.

Hole sponsorships are available for $100, and prize sponsorships are also welcome.
