Painsville attorney named to appellate bench

COLUMBUS — An attorney from Painsville and legal adviserfor the township trustees and Laketran Regional TransitAuthority is the new 11th District Court of Appeals judge.

Timothy P. Cannon, 52, was appointed to the vacant seat Friday by Gov. Ted Strickland. He was selected from among13 applicants, six of whom were interviewed in person. Among them were Atty. Raymond Tisone of Howland and Sandra Stabile-Harwood, a state representative from Niles.
