Macy employees donate 1,702 pounds of food

YOUNGSTOWN — Macy’s stores at Southern Park and Eastwood malls participated in Macy’s Nationwide Bag Hunger Campaign that took place June 5-23. Employees collected 1,702 pounds of food and raised $430 to help Second Harvest Food Bank feed hungry families in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties. Employee contributions will be matched by Macy’s matching-gift program, doubling their efforts. For every $1 given, the food bank can distribute $15 worth of food to hungry families. Employees raised money by holding luncheons and ice cream socials.
