Guild to sponsor project for troops

WARREN — The Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild will host a “Sit-n-Sew” event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 9 at Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St.

Those participating will make neck coolers for service men and women.

Nonmembers, regardless of skill levels, are welcome to take a sewing machine, basic sewing supplies and a covered dish to share.
