'Holy Ground' march set Saturday by ACTION

YOUNGSTOWN — ACTION will sponsor a holy ground march at 10 a.m. Saturday starting at Antioch Baptist Church, 110 Funston St. The group will walk from Funston to Highland Avenue to Jefferson Street to Oakland Street then return to Funston.

ACTION, the Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing our Neighborhoods, will march in problem areas and mobilize residents to take a stand to reclaim their neighborhoods. The marches target specific problems including abandoned homes and commercial buildings and vacant and overgrown lots, where crimes and violence often occur.
