Good Humor bar birthplace commemorated
YOUNGSTOWN — A Youngstown building where the Good Humor Bar was invented received special honor Wednesday as a plaque was presented commemorating the birthplace of the ice cream snack.
The plaque, awarded by Parade Magazine and the National Trust for Historic Preservation, recognized the location, on 325 W. Federal St., as a unique place that had a significant effect on America’s culture.
