Youth theater presents 'Three by Three'

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Playhouse Youth Theatre will present “Three by Three” at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. July 30-Aug. 3 in the theater’s Moyer Room.

The production features three actors — Matt Stevens, Lindsay Stevens and Andrew Brockway — performing three stories about three characters: “The Three Little Pigs,” “The Three Wishes” and “The Three Billy Goats Gruff.” Audience members will be asked to participate in bringing each story to a happy ending, by following special signals given by the actors. In addition, two audience members will be selected to come on stage and play the part of either the third Little Pig or the third Billy Goat Gruff. The show is about 45 minutes long.

“Three by Three” is written and directed by Patricia M. Fagan. James Lybarger is technical director and Patricia Petaccio is costumer. DeAnna D’Egidio serves as stage manager. The production is the first offering of the Youth Theatre’s 2007-2008 Small Fry series, which will also include “Night Light,” “Cinderella Brunch,” “The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe” and “A Thousand Cranes.”

Tickets for “Three by Three” are $4 for children and $5 for adults. Discounts for groups of 10 or more are available. Reservations are suggested and may be made by calling the box office at (330) 788-8739.
