Warren man injured in attack


WARREN – A 25-year-old Warren man remains hospitalized after being stomped by a group of men in front of his home during the weekend.

Police reported that a Central Parkway Avenue man was arguing with his girlfriend in front of his home at nearly 3 a.m. when he noticed the men watching him. Police reported that the man, who was highly intoxicated, walked toward the group and said something to them before he was attacked.

He sustained facial injuries. His mother told police one of the men told her, “He’s lucky I didn’t shoot him.”

He remains in fair condition in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
