Ryan unsure about two energy proposals

YOUNGSTOWN — Environmental activists and local steelworkers want U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan to support two House proposals to increase fuel efficiency for vehicles and to adopt a renewable energy standard.

Ryan of Niles, D-17th, supports both policies “in premise,” but hasn’t decided yet if he favors these two proposals, said Brad Bauman, his spokesman.

Steelworkers and members of the Sierra Club and the National Environmental Trust presented Ryan’s Youngstown office with a letter today asking his support on the two bills.
