Driver cited for failing to control his car

YOUNGSTOWN — Carmelo Cintron, 31, of Oak Street was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control after his car struck a man who was walking with a child on Elm Street near West Dennick Avenue around 8:30 a.m. today.

Police said Cintron’s car slid on gravel and flipped on the driver’s side. The pedestrian, Robert Shannon, 48, of West Dennick was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center to be checked out.
