Man arrested for second time on weapon charges

WARREN — William D. Cindea, convicted of illegal possession of a firearm for having weapons and ammunition in his possession during a traffic stop in 2005, has been arrested on weapons charges again.

He was with now-imprisoned Warren attorney Maridee Costanzo during the 2005 stop.

On Wednesday, Warren police stopped Cindea, 57, of Berkshire Drive Southeast, about 7 p.m. on East Market Street. He had suddenly pulled his van into Warren Food Mart while a police officer was following behind him.

After running the vehicle’s license plate number, Patrolman Jeff Orth learned that there was an active arrest warrant issued for the driver. The driver identified himself as Cindea, and he was arrested on the warrant.
