Youngstown city schools

City school board members are finalizing a tax levy to be put on the ballot in November to help cover a $15 million budget deficit. A 9.5-mill tax increase is being considered. Here are the additional amounts homeowners would have to pay annually. Current taxes at 53.3 mills are in parentheses:

$20,000 home: $55 ($320).

$65,000 home: $165 (960).

$100,000 home: $274 ($1,545).
