Salt & Light leads Struthers parade honors

STRUTHERS — More than 100 entries paraded through the streets of Struthers today showing patriotism and tossing candy to hundreds of spectators.

Top parade float honors went to Salt & Light Financial Services. Best of show went to the Struthers Little Wildcats; Best Car honors went to a vintage hearse from Davidson Becker Funeral Home; Best Patriotism float went to Nemenz IGA for its red, white and blue rocket float.

A moment of silence for military troops overseas opened the parade. And the parade roared to a close with sirens blazing from firetrucks representing several area agencies.
