ANGELS FOR ANIMALS \ Fast facts

For 17 years, the nonprofit organization has relied heavily on contributions and volunteers to help curb needless suffering and deaths of companion animals, while stressing spaying programs to reduce the population of unwanted pets. Some of Angels’ main goals:

Giving people the opportunity to adopt vaccinated, spayed and neutered dogs or cats.

Educating the public about the problems of pet overpopulation.

Allowing those who find strays to have access to low-cost health care for them.

Emphasizing pet responsibility, but making help possible for owners via discounts on sterilization surgeries.

Trying to change the future for homeless animals through education and neutering programs.

Promoting regular veterinarian care.

Providing for the well-being of abandoned animals.

Encouraging respect and appreciation for all pets.
