Here are ways to process grief

Processing grief is a lifelong journey. To help ease the overwhelming sorrow associated with a missing loved one, consider the following:
Verbalize emotions with the help of a qualified grief counselor, therapist or support group.
Balance hope with a realistic evaluation of the circumstances.
Consider meditation sessions or hypnosis to say goodbye and visualize the loved one at peace.
Memorialize the loved one through scholarships, charitable donations or involvement in a cause important to the deceased.
Establish a small space in the home with a picture, candles or religious statues where survivors can find peace or feel the deceased's spirit.
Hold a funeral service for the loved one.
As time goes on, celebrate the missing person's life on his birthday or other special occasions.
