Proceeds are earmarked for research and educational programs.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The American Heart Association's 2007 Heart Ball has been planned for March 3 at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave.
During the black-tie event, two local physicians and a local businessman will be honored for the strides they are making in the fight to combat America's No. 1 killer -- heart disease and stroke.
Chosen to receive the 2007 Cardiac Service Award will be Dr. Fadi Naddour, nominated by Forum Health, and Dr. Nicola B. Nicoloff, nominated by St. Elizabeth Heart and Vascular Center, Humility of Mary Health Partners, and the recipient of the 2007 Heart of the Community Award will be John Perdue.
In addition to dinner and dancing, patrons will also have an opportunity to participate in live and silent auctions for a variety of unique items.
Tickets for the evening are 125 a person, a portion of which is tax deductible. Proceeds from the gala will help support the more than 4.1 million allocated by the American Heart Association to Northeast Ohio research institutions and to help fund heart disease and stroke educational programs throughout the community.
