2 Trumbull sewer projects will serve 100+ homes


WARREN — Trumbull County commissioners gave final approval today to two sanitary sewer projects.

Construction will begin on them Monday.

A notice to proceed was granted to Kirila Contractors Inc. of Brookfield to construct the Brookfield Center South sewer project. It will serve 30 homes, five industrial buildings, seven commercial buildings, a church and two future commercial buildings on Wood Street, Strimbu Drive and parts of state Routes 7 and 82.

Cost of the project is $1,256,800, and construction is expected to last until Aug. 27.

The commissioners also gave notice to proceed to Marucci & Gaffney Excavating Co. of Youngstown to build a $778,400 sanitary sewer project for Henn-Hyde Road in Howland.

It will serve 72 homes in an area extending south of King-Graves Road 6,000 feet. Construction is expected to last until May 14.
