DINNER-DANCES
Boardman Township Park will sponsor a semiformal father-daughter dance from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 16 and Feb. 17 at the Boardman Community Center. The evening will include music by a disc jockey, a catered dinner and a professional photo of each young girl (age 5 to 12) with her dad, grandpa or guardian. Reservations are required, and tickets must be purchased in advance at the park office in the Georgeanna Parker Activity Center; none will be sold at the door. Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will have a Valentine Dance on Feb. 9. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and a buffet meal from 7:30 to 9 will consist of fried fish, fish francise, chicken cordon bleu, haluski, vegetable, coleslaw, rolls, coffee, tea and dessert. The cost is 15 per person. Reservations for tables of six or more can be made by calling the center from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday at (330) 270-0650. Cups, ice and a variety of mixes will be provided for the BYOB event. There will be a lottery tree and 50-50 drawing. Musical entertainment will be from 8 to 11 p.m.
