Youngs honored on anniversary at dinner party

YOUNGSTOWN -- A dinner party was held Jan. 6 at The Elm Tree in Struthers in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Young of Youngstown, who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children, Jerry Young of Youngstown, Daphne Young and Valeria Johnson, both of Akron, and Francine Wilson of Howland. There are eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren in the family.
Mr. Young and the former Sybil Burress were united in marriage Jan. 7, 1957, in Booneville, Miss. The couple are members of Beulah Baptist Church.
Mr. Young was a laborer with Local Union 125 in Youngstown prior to retiring in 1993. His wife was a domestic worker until she retired in 1991.
