One-Stop extends Wednesday hours



Job seekers will have access to computers, office machines and job-search tools.
BOARDMAN -- Mahoning County One-Stop, 149 Boardman-Canfield Road, will extend hours the first Wednesday of each month until 8 p.m.
One-Stop hours have been extended to better serve individuals who are interested in One-Stop services but not available for current hours.
"We found that many of our customers were working or in school during the day," said Jessica Borza, chief operating officer for the Mahoning and Columbiana One-Stop System.
At One-Stop, job seekers will have access to a roomful of computers, professional office machines, job-search tools and a variety of weekly workshops offered to better equip job seekers in their search for employment. One-Stop services are free to anyone interested in employment and/or training.
Mission
The mission behind One-Stop is to offer coordinated work-force development and direct customer services to employers and job seekers at one accessible location to promote ongoing regional economic development through effective partnerships.
Partners of One-Stop are Ohio Department of Job & amp; Family Services, Mahoning & amp; Columbiana Training Association, Mahoning County Career & amp; Technical Center, Choffin Career & amp; Technical Center, Youngstown State University, Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission, Mahoning County Department of Job & amp; Family Services, Senior Employment Center, Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership, Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority, Job Corps, Burdman Group, Greater Youngstown Point and Economic & amp; Community Development Institute.
