Foundation plans event to benefit young patients



Patrons will have an opportunity to win one of several cash prizes totaling over 4,000.
LIBERTY -- The Jessica Moorhead Foundation of Hope will sponsor a benefit dinner and reverse raffle to be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre, 1620 Motor Inn Drive.
The "Wings of Love" event will benefit the Children's Care Center for Blood and Cancer at Tod Children's Hospital, where the proceeds will be used to treat children and adolescents with cancer and chronic blood disorders, such as sickle cell disease and hemophilia.
The event is open to the public, and tickets for 75 entitle patrons to dinner and beverages and a chance to win one of several cash prizes from the total of over 4,000. Tables for eight are available for 550.
Rounding out the evening will be a live auction as well as Chinese and silent auctions.

Background
The Jessica Moorhead Foundation for Hope is a nonprofit organization that was established in memory of 16-year-old Jessica Moorhead of Austintown and her four-year battle with leukemia. Co-founders are Jessica's mother, Jenifer, and Dr. Ayman Saleh, medical director at Tod's.
Proceeds from last year's raffle were used tofurnish and equip an activity center for hospitalized cancer patients, sponsor a network for families, provide holiday events for patients in treatment, provide patients with special outings, and help families in need.
