Sabres 6, Bruins 3
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Brian Campbell and Maxim Afinogenov scored four minutes apart in the third period for Buffalo. The loss spoiled a breakout game for Bruins rookie Phil Kessel, who enjoyed the first two-goal game of his career, in only his fifth game back since having surgery for testicular cancer. Daniel Paille scored twice, including an empty-netter in the final minute, to help the Sabres snap a season-worst three-game winless streak (0-2-1). Thomas Vanek and Derek Roy also scored for Buffalo. Glen Murray also scored for the Bruins, who dropped to 2-6-1 in the last nine games. Boston has also lost five straight on the road -- the team's worst stretch since going 0-5 in the final month of last season.
Red Wings 5, Predators 3
DETROIT -- Henrik Zetterberg had a two goals and an assist, and Pavel Datsyuk added four assists to lift Detroit. Nicklas Lidstrom, Jiri Hudler and Tomas Holmstrom also scored for Detroit, which won its fifth straight. Greg Zanon got his first NHL goal, and Jordin Tootoo and Dan Hamhuis also scored for Nashville, which snapped its six-game winning streak.
Stars 4, Flames 2
DALLAS -- All-Star goalie Marty Turco matched a franchise record with his 160th victory, stopping 18 shots and assisting on a goal for Dallas. Joel Lundqvist's first career goal snapped a 1-1 tie with 13 1/2 minutes left in the second period. About two minutes later, Turco assisted on Stu Barnes' goal that gave Dallas a 3-1 lead. The Stars also got two goals from Jere Lehtinen. Kristian Huselius and Andrew Ference had goals for Calgary.
