It was the second time the Penguins had defeated the Panthers this year and marked only the second sweep of an opponent in the six seasons the Penguins have been in the Horizon League. The Penguins shot 50 percent against the Panthers with senior Quin Humphrey leading the way with 22 points. Butler, which has been nationally ranked most of the season after wins over Notre Dame, Indiana and Purdue, is coming off a 62-47 non-conference win over South Dakota State Saturday. The Bulldogs suffered their first Horizon League loss last week, falling in overtime to UIC, 73-67, in Chicago. Butler's only other loss was at Indiana State, 72-64. The Bulldogs' leading scorer junior A.J. Graves sat out the last game, the first of his career, after oral surgery when he had four wisdom teeth removed. He is expected back in the lineup for tonight's contest. The Penguins trail the Bulldogs 2-10 in the overall series, including a 1-9 record since joining the Horizon League. YSU's only win in the last 10 games came last season when they stunned the Bulldogs, 64-62, at Beeghly Center.Next: YSU will return home to take on Cleveland State Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at Beeghly Center.
