Daemen 81, Geneva 65
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Twenty-four turnovers and a 34-26 deficit in rebounds combined to do in the Golden Tornadoes in an American Mideast Conference North game. Geneva (8-10, 0-2 AMC-N) was led by Byran Hill and Jermaine Ferguson, who scored 13 and 10 points, respectively. But, the Golden Tornadoes committed one more turnover than made baskets, despite 49 percent shooting (23-of-47). Ferguson also led Geneva with four rebounds. Daemen (8-12, 2-2) was led by Dewan Stroud's 30 points. Stroud was 12-of-20 from the field, and he also had a game-high seven rebounds. Quentin Hudson added 13 points, while Kristien Olsen and Daniel Joseph scored 10 apiece. Jonathon Smith had six assists.
Cedarville 86, Malone 79
CANTON -- Jesse Schlabach scored 19 points for Malone in an AMC South game. Tyler Renner added 17 points and six rebounds for the Pioneers (12-8, 2-6 AMC-S). Linc Rottman also scored 17 points, while James Hannum had eight rebounds. Cedarville (13-5, 7-2), ranked No. 20 in the NAIA Division II poll, was led by Guy Rathmell with 28 points and four assists, while Ryan Short scored 18. Maicol Venter had 10 rebounds.
Walsh 92, Wilberforce 78
NORTH CANTON -- Walsh, ranked No. 10 in NAIA Division II, won its 12th straight. The Cavaliers (17-3, 8-1 AMC-S) were led by Corey Jones with 23 points. Jason Hicks added 21, while Adam Lesch and Brandon Weems scored 16 apiece. Wilberforce (7-6, 3-6) was led by Dwight Cass and JoJo Peterson with 14 apiece.
WOMEN
Daemen 76, Geneva 56
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Allyson Clarke scored 21 points and shared team-high honors with nine rebounds for the Golden Tornadoes. Geneva (11-3, 4-1 AMC-N) made just 20-of-62 shots (32.3 percent) and was 3-for-10 on 3-pointers. Daemen (16-4, 6-0) was led by Germany Jackson with 24 points and Mary Kate Wilson with 21. Combined, Jackson and Wilson were 17-of-28 from the field; the rest of the team was 13-for-33. Alison LaPoint added 18 points and 11 assists for Daemen, which led 39-30 at halftime.
Cedarville 58, Malone 56
CANTON -- Mary Stockdale's basket at the buzzer gave Cedarville the AMC South victory. Cara Shiplett's layup with 1:17 remaining tied the score at 56 for Malone, but Cedarville's Stacie Travis missed a 3-pointer and the Pioneers then turned the ball over with 24 seconds remaining, setting up Stockdale's game-winning shot. Brittany Smart scored 22 points and had five assists for Cedarville (16-4, 8-1 AMC-S), ranked fifth in NAIA Division II. Kristi Beougher added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Stockdale finished with eight points and nine rebounds. Malone (13-8, 5-4) was led by Shiplett, with 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Nikki Parson, with 10 points, 12 rebounds and five assists.
Walsh 61, Wilberforce 53
NORTH CANTON -- Walsh (4-13, 2-7 AMC-S) snapped a four-game losing streak. Ingrid Brainard all scorers with 14 points, and added six rebounds and five assists. Chrissy Summers added 10 points and eight rebounds off the bench and Jessie Miller had 10 rebounds and six steals.
