AUCTIONS
XSt. John's Church, 159 Reed Ave., Campbell, will hold a Chinese auction Sunday. Doors will open at 1 p.m., and the auction will begin at 3. The cost is 5.
XSt. Joseph School and Home and School Association will hold a basket raffle and Chinese auction Sunday at the school social hall, 4565 New Road, Austintown. Doors open at 9 a.m., and drawings will begin at 2 p.m. Tickets for baskets are 5 a sheet of 30 and can be purchased at the door. Over 100 baskets and many gift certificates will be available as well as a 50-50 raffle and a lottery balloon. Winners do not need to be present.
CARD/BINGO PARTIES
XSt. Stanislaus Infant of Prague Guild will have a card and bingo party at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the church hall. Tickets are 3 and can be purchased at the door. Refreshments will be served.
SALES
XSt. Elizabeth Auxiliary will sponsor a book sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 6 and from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 7 at the main lobby of the hospital, 1044 Belmont Ave., Youngstown. The "Books are Fun" selections will include children's books, sports books and many other types of books at discounted prices. XSecond Chance Animal Rescue will sponsor a sale of prom and bridal gowns from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Fairfield Inn and Suites, 801 N. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, behind Arby's. More than 150 formals and 30 bridal gowns will be available at 50 to 75 percent off retail. Those attending the sale will have an opportunity to register for a prom prize package that includes a limo ride, corsage gift certificate, dinner and more. XVendors are being sought for a Spring Bridal Extravaganza to be held March 22 at the American Croatian Lodge Party Center, 34900 Lakeshore Blvd., Eastlake. XSts. Mary and Joseph School in Newton Falls is hosting a Ladies Day from 1 to 5 p.m. March 18 at the Avalon In and Resort in Howland. The event will include a luncheon, shopping with over 25 unique businesses, and a spring fashion show. The guest speaker will be Gretchan Pyne, author of "Lulu's Rose Colored Glasses." A special guest will be state Sen. Capri Cafaro. Tickets for 30 cover the day's events and give patrons an opportunity to win prizes, including a grand prize of a spa package. TRIPS
