19-year-old charged in shooting

YOUNGSTOWN — The 19-year-old man charged in the shooting death of Travis Garcia of Haseltine Street was arraigned today via video in municipal court.

Jovaun D. Lave faces charges of negligent homicide and unlawful possession of a dangerous ordnance. Judge Robert P. Milich set bond at $45,000.

Lave also was arraigned for failure to appear in court last month on a possession of marijuana charge. Bond was set at $5,000 in the drug case.
