Dinner is held at Saxon Club for Diana 50th



YOUNGTOWN -- Guests gathered at the Saxon Club in Austintown on Jan. 20 to honor Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Diana Sr., 3300 Sunnybrooke Drive, as the couple celebrated 50 years of marriage.
The anniversary dinner party was hosted by the couple's family, Rosemary and Mark Stilson, Robert and Rita Diana, Angie and Chris Foltz and Michael and Leslie Diana, all of Youngstown, and Steven and Melanie Diana of Canfield.
A highlight of the evening was a chauffeured trip down memory lane from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church to the club, guided by two of the couple's granddaughters, Kristina Diana and Ardina Barnes.
There are nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren in the family.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church was the setting Jan. 19, 1957, as the former Wilma J. Torisk and Mr. Diana were united in marriage. They are members of St. Christine Church.
Mr. Diana served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a welder with Youngstown Steel Door Co. in Austintown prior to retiring in June 1997. His wife is a homemaker.
